Kinfire: Family Voice Stories ("Kinfire," "we," "us," or "our") is a private, voice-first storytelling app for families. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Display name: the name you type in during setup, used to personalize the app within your family group. This is not verified and is not tied to a real-world identity.
• Voice recordings: the audio responses you record to weekly prompts, stored so they can be compiled into your family's weekly digest and archived over time as your family's private audio history
• Family/group data: the connections between grandparent and grandchild accounts within your private family group, and which prompts have been answered

Sign-in is anonymous — we do not collect your email address or other account/identity information. We do not collect usage or analytics data, and we do not collect precise location data or use background tracking.

How we use your information

• To match and deliver weekly prompts to the right family members
• To compile submitted recordings into the Sunday family digest
• To build and maintain your family's private audio archive over time
• To operate and secure the app

Sharing of information

Your recordings and display name are visible only within your private family group. We do not sell your data. We do not share your data with advertisers or use it for advertising.

We use the following service provider to host and secure app data on our behalf. It acts as a data processor, not a third party we share your data with for its own purposes:

• Supabase — hosts our database and audio storage

Data security

Data is encrypted in transit between the app and our servers. Supabase provides the underlying database and storage security for data at rest.
